WEBSITE INFORMATION · UPDATED 9 OCTOBER 2026
Privacy and your information.
How Mekong Partners uses information shared through this website, its contact form, newsletter and verified PDF downloads.
Contacting Mekong Partners
This website presents Mekong Partners' advisory activities, resources and media contributions. For an enquiry or a question about your information, use our contact form. For a privacy request, begin your message with “Website data request”. Please do not include identity documents or sensitive personal information in your initial message.
Business enquiries
The contact form asks for your name, business email and message. We use these details to understand your request, respond and discuss an appropriate next step. Submitting a business enquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter or create an advisory engagement. Please keep initial enquiries non-confidential.
Newsletter subscription
When you enter your email and click Subscribe, you request the Mekong Partners newsletter. Mailchimp processes the mailing-list record and delivers newsletters on our behalf. The form uses direct signup without a second subscription-confirmation email. You can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter, or ask us through the contact form.
The PDF access form also explains its newsletter signup before submission. After you request a code and successfully verify your email, the same email is added to the newsletter without another confirmation email. An existing unsubscribe or delivery-suppression status is not automatically reversed by downloading a PDF. Mailing-list records are separate from temporary PDF-access records.
Mailchimp's processing is explained in the Intuit privacy statement. Its service may process information outside your country.
Verified PDF downloads
Selected research reports and the three leadership guides require a company or institutional email and a six-digit code. The company brochure is available without this verification. The code confirms access to an inbox, not employment, identity or authority to represent an organisation. No WordPress account is created.
A code is valid for 10 minutes and can be used once. Successful verification provides access only to the requested PDF for 10 minutes. Pending verification records expire after 10 minutes; download grants contain no email address. Rate-limiting identifiers are salted hashes that expire after one hour. Expired records are removed through scheduled and request-triggered cleanup.
Website hosting, delivery and security
The website is hosted by InMotion Hosting. Website and email infrastructure process information necessary to operate the site, deliver enquiries and verification messages, and maintain security. Technical logs and backups are distinct from the short-lived PDF records. See the InMotion Hosting privacy policy.
The enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help detect automated submissions. It connects your browser to Google and may process technical and interaction signals, including a security cookie. See Google's privacy information and terms. A visible puzzle is not normally required.
WordPress uses login and administration cookies. Verified PDF access uses a secure, session-scoped cookie to bind verification and access to your browser. These functions are separate from newsletter membership.
Podcasts, interviews and external links
Podcast artwork may load from its external image provider when you view a page. The dedicated podcast library offers click-to-load Spotify players. Players in the homepage podcast section connect to Spotify when that section loads. Audio does not play automatically. Television and media references provide links to original sources and shared clips. Following an external link takes you to a separate service.
External providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and may use their own cookies. Read the Spotify privacy policy and, when following LinkedIn references, the LinkedIn privacy policy. Closing a player or leaving a page does not remove information already received by a provider.
Retention and your requests
Our selected retention policy for prospective-client enquiries that do not become an engagement is a maximum of 36 months after the last contact initiated by the prospect, subject to applicable obligations or a documented need to retain information. This policy is separate from client records, invoices, security logs, backups and newsletter preferences.
You may ask about access to, correction of or deletion of information you have supplied through the contact form. We may need proportionate information to identify the relevant record and confirm the request. Newsletter unsubscribe is also available directly in each newsletter. We review requests in accordance with applicable requirements.
