Regional development / Cambodia
Building our next chapter in Cambodia.
Mekong Partners is preparing its expansion into Cambodia, extending the dialogue that connects our work in Vietnam and China with opportunities across the region.
Our planned participation in REF 2026 is an opportunity to meet business leaders, engage with the Francophone business community and pursue discussions with Cambodian institutions and ministries.
A considered regional expansion
Relationships first. A clear path to practical engagement.
We are approaching Cambodia through a structured process of market understanding, business dialogue and institutional engagement. The purpose is to identify where Mekong Partners can contribute meaningfully and what local capabilities are needed to support responsible delivery.
That means assessing potential partners, understanding the operating environment and defining a realistic scope before making commitments. Our existing Vietnam and China focus provides the regional context; Cambodia is the next development initiative.
This page describes an expansion initiative. It does not announce an established Cambodian office, licensed local practice or government partnership.
Three priorities
What we want to build.
A credible network of counterparties.
Meet companies, investors and local professional partners. Understand their priorities, assess complementarity and identify opportunities for future cooperation.
Clarity on the local environment.
Pursue exchanges with Cambodian institutions and ministries to better understand development priorities, investment processes and the questions businesses need to address.
Connections across markets.
Explore how Cambodian opportunities relate to Vietnam and China through market access, sourcing, industrial partnerships and cross-border commercial development.
Francophonie & economic dialogue
A shared language. A wider business conversation.
The Francophone business community offers a setting for conversations across different markets and institutions. At REF 2026, our intention is to turn those exchanges into a more informed view of Cambodia and a practical network for future work.
We will approach the event with specific discussion priorities, rather than treating participation as a substitute for market research, partner assessment or implementation planning.
With business leaders
Discuss market development, investment intentions, supply-chain connections and areas where cross-border advisory could support a concrete decision.
With institutions and ministries
Seek dialogue on relevant economic priorities and investment-related processes. Meeting requests, participants and agendas remain subject to confirmation.
With local professionals
Explore complementary capabilities and the specialist support required for future engagements. Any cooperation will be assessed on its own merits.
From preparation to follow-through
Our next steps.
Before REF / Preparation
Frame the conversations.
Define priority sectors and discussion topics, research potential counterparties and seek appropriate appointments. Prepare a focused agenda for the visit.
At REF / Engagement
Listen, compare and connect.
Participate in the event and pursue business and institutional exchanges, subject to the final programme and confirmed appointments.
After REF / Development
Validate the next move.
Review the conversations, assess potential cooperation and define the next steps for expansion. Share updates when outcomes and arrangements are confirmed.

Practical information
Questions about our Cambodia initiative.
Can we arrange a conversation around REF 2026?
Yes. Contact us with your organisation, the subject you would like to discuss and your availability in Phnom Penh. We will review meeting requests as the visit agenda develops. An appointment is confirmed only once agreed directly.
Which opportunities are relevant to the expansion?
We welcome focused discussions about market development, investment, business partnerships, sourcing and operating questions linking Cambodia with Vietnam and China. The scope and suitability of any engagement will be assessed individually.
Are meetings with government institutions already confirmed?
This page describes intended institutional dialogue, not a confirmed meeting schedule. We will publish appropriate updates after participants, appointments and outcomes are confirmed.
Where can we follow the next developments?
Updates will appear on this website and on the Mekong Partners LinkedIn page. We will distinguish announcements, confirmed activities and completed outcomes.
